Can you use the spikes with the globe motors?

Read the rules. They even put it in large, red letters for you.

Section 3.2.3:

WARNING!
Attempting to drive the Drill motors, Van Door motors, Globe motors
or Fisher-Price motors directly with the Relay Modules could damage
the Relay Modules and is, therefore, prohibited.
