With the center wheel down, it only moves straight - just like a torpedo :)

The appendage in the front looks like it is used to knock down the wall, while the appendage in the back might be used to "lock down" the robot.

Im not sure about that it looks a lot like our robot which is only designed to knock stacks over.

I'm betting that there's something on that arm that we can't totally see. Especially if someone on that team says it cam stack, I'd be willing to bet it stacks.

Good call. The reason for your confusion is that the attachment for the boxes is not pictured - it was in repair at the time of the picture.
