Congratulations to Dave Lavery and the rest of the NASA team on a second successful landing on Mars !!!! good job with Opportunity !!!
ps - are you going to get a new shirt with a picture of Oppurtunity and a new caption underneath so that Spirit is not spoiled ??

Great job!!! I watched it on the NASA feed and they said they got the confirmation beep and no error beeps during the landing and the rolling of the craft. I'm sure Dave is proud to say he has TWO "cars" on mars now. :D

I am suprised no one has pictures or screen shots from Spirit's landing. He was wearing a suit for that landing.

Congrats from all of team 108! Ive heard over the past 24 hours, Nasa.gov has had over 4 billion hits. I know we've accounted for quite a few of em ;). Awesome job guys.

A few weeks ago at kickoff it was brought up that none of this stuff was really on the news. Now, its all I hear when i turn on CNN or MSNBC. Congratulations. This truly is an awesome feat.

Congratulations. By the way, did anyone notice that Nasa uses the same semantics to describe a rovers condition as they do to describe a humans?

You mean they're anthropomorphizing them? NASA had better watch out. Robots don't like that. ;)

I really do not know if it is that or the fact that the news is doing it. But I have seen Spirit go from critical to serious and now it is guarded.
