Time Magazine mentions FIRST

I was just reading throught the December 20, 2004 issue of Time magazine, and I ran across a highlighted quote "Kids who joined FIRST at 14 are returning to the companies that sponsored their teams." Intrigued, I read the article, which was written by Dean Kamen himself. The article itself is about the impact of FIRST.

For those interested, it is in the "Best pictures of the year" section, right after the photo of John Kerry conceding the election. On the bottom of the page is a Ford ad.

It's always nice to see FIRST get some publicity... even if it's just one article like that.

I believe that is the ad that Dean got Ford to pay for. Looking at those pictures, the ad was also in Popular Science.

Yep, those appear to be the same article.

Nothing new to me in that article, until I read about field testing the water purifier. Now THAT is exciting.
