I can't say enough about this man. He is an absolutely go-getter - one of the major driving forces in NJ. I remember the way we used to talk "He doesn't remember names frequently so feel lucky if he remembers your name". Congratulations Mr. Kloberg - this honor is LONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGG OVERDUE. Keep doing all the great things you have done to make FIRST a better program as you have always.

I feel honored to finally have met Paul this past spring after hearing so much about him from other mentors and students in FIRST, and after having several conversations on the phone... during which we discovered we both attended high school in Baldwin, NY at the same time! (It IS a small world.) I have printed out your motto to hang on my wall to remind me to have FUN with FIRST! Congratulations, Paul!

I can't say much more than the NJ folks already have about Paul. I'll just add that Paul was a "Sr. Mentor" for FIRST in NJ, looooong before the phrase ever existed and that I'm certainly a better person for knowing him. Congrats!

I basically echo Kres as well. Kloberg has done soo much to help out the growth of FIRST in not only NJ, but everywhere he travels. He always has something to say about FIRST and how awesome it is.

Paul is a real people person and is the ideal FIRST Senior Mentor. He is passionate, will corner people to talk about FIRST and the big picture, is always administering praise and ideas.
On a personal level, he without fail, listens to me venting, always makes me laugh, and somehow is able to convince me to get up at 5:30am to sneak into a hotel pool at a hotel we are NOT even staying at.... :eek:
And his wife Karin is his better half.
He deserves every kudo.

I'm having a hard time thinking of FIRST events I've been to in the last four years which you weren't involved in. Besides making things happen through the brute force of your indomitable spirit, you manage to keep the focus where it belongs: on making FIRST meaningful and fun for the students. I am happy and honored to be able to call you a friend, colleague and mentor.

Congratulations Paul. I enjoyed the many years working with you on the Conqueror of the Hill. Your persistance in bringing FIRST to Schools in the Tri state area is infectious. Thanks for giving me the bug !!! You are truely a leader and deserve the recognition. One quick story to share what type of person Paul is "...We were lost getting to Montclair Mayhem and his number was the only one on my cell that I recognized would be at the event. I called, and in his calm Paul voice, explained that he was trying to run a major event (And fix the computer bugs as I found out later !!!) He took the time to help me out in spite of all he was doing and gave me directions." Thank you so much for inviting my 54 students to the Regionals, for getting our NJ Vex Team #21 to the Nationals and involving us in Montclair Mayhem as a full FRC Team !!! Our team started March 5th and we did three events by May 14th !!! We could not have done it with out you Paul...You are our Hero !!!

Team 555 owes Mr Kloberg a huge debt of gratitude. Among other things, Mr Kolberg helped organize, set up and breakdown for Montclair Mayhem, organized a demonstration at Liberty Science Center for our team and has always been around if a team needs technical help. At the New Jersey Regional, Mr Kloberg helped myself and another person rig a pneumatic slide for chain-driven extension so a team could keep competing. It is dedication and commitment like this that makes FIRST such a great organization.
