i am sure that national geographic was doing some sort of documentary but i am not sure when and where it will air whether it be a movie or just another discovery channel show i am not sure either

ya. they're passes said National geographic on them. I remember someone saying that they went to a couple of regionals and filmed them.

60 Minutes was there as well, following team 121 from what I saw. They filmed 121's last match (and ours as well) out on Einstein. Anyone know when this will air?

i am not sure when that will air but i was channel surfing today and stopped at CNN and i watched a short little thing about some team from a NYC suburb, i think it was Brooklyn, but i am not sure. I do know that they had a little red robot and the judges at the NYC regional nicknamed it the little red bot that could or something like that :)

I don't know if anyone watches Tech TV, but they did like a 5-minute thing on FIRST and the robotic compeition. That is so cool! It was on TechLive, W00T for FIRST!!!

It's starring ER's Noah Wiley:rolleyes: and I heard they were down at the Nationals getting footage for the movie. I just can't dismiss the spectre of Mighty Ducks meet Battlebots. I want to know if they're gonna have Wiley's team win the national championship or the chairman's award. I don't think Hollywood types would get FIRST, so I'm expecting the worst.:eek:

i think thats kind of close minded...i think the "Hollywood Types" can make a documentary about anything...look at some of the less interesting things they make documentaries about...id rather be disapointed then go in thinking its going to be bad

when is this movie supposed too be about, and where did this rumor come from. Is there any real support for this, or is it just a rumor.

its very real...i dunno the exact date but this is no rumor...they were all over the place in EPCOT
