Wow, I kind of suspected, but this might be crossing some inane line. I think it's kind of scary that I was able to name 3 dozen things that should have also been on this that weren't:eek:.

There sure were a lot of Star Trek questions! Not enough DnD and Star Wars ones though. Oh, and I agree with Bemis: more band stuff. And girl/boy scout stuff! I figure 11+ years in Girl Scouts makes me a little more of a geek.

19.32939% - Geek. That test blows because it's biased against older geeks. I actually watched first-run Star Trek shows as a kid, fer crying out loud. How's this for a Geek question: What it the other definition of "Geek"?

-Kevin

Answer: A geek is a performer in a carnival or circus side-show who, as part of his/her performance, bites-off the head of a live chicken. This is precisely why I've preferred the term "Nerd" myself.

I don't care what the quiz said, a female band/robotics geek is at least Total Geek.

(My score, and I can't believe I wasted time doing this at work, was 31.16731%. A lot of mine were semi-obsolete, I don't play RPGs anymore, for example, but it is kind of a lifetime achievement Geek award. I'm afraid my son Robotaddict would bend the needle on the Geekgauge.)

I think they should add: "If you made sure to look at the source for this website"

That was enough to make me check the last 5 boxes. That and the fact that I actually took the time to look at the entire test. :D

Anyhow, 57.39645% - Extreme Geek. Figured I'd be around 50%, so not bad.

Wahoo 44.97041% - Major Geek
The sad fact is that I answered all those questions truthfully and honestly and I only checked 2 of the final five check boxes to lower my score.
My TI Computer that I still use got me a lot of points on this... that my J!NX clothing, and if only the fact my computer is set to wake up 5 mins before me and run my morning programs was a check box on there I probably would be a 45...

Got bored and wanted to know what it would put for 100%, and when you click all check boxes it says. 100% - Lier

I was like 'yaaaaaaaay -- finally some points!!' when I saw the designed/built a robot thing...

I think it was the female geek thing that brought up my score...yay for bonuses!!
