I am definitely not spending enough time in online chatrooms, have always thought there was only one way to spell whoops...w-h-o-o-p-s...how hard is it to type out the 'h'? nothing against woops though...peace

EddieMcD

I say "oops". It's more efficient to type.

Carolyn Duncan

I'm an Oooops person too. Unless I'm speaing in German and I say Uuuups. It's just a thing, don't ask.

I see my thread/poll slowly going off topic w/ people talking about oo0ps....(Reminder: we are just voting on whoops/woops, oops isnt an option....)

:D

Yes, but this is Chit-Chat, where we are allowed to go off topic.

Carolyn Duncan
08-02-2001, 03:11 PM
Ok, Clark. Question. What does woops spell if you mistype and the "w" doesn't show up? BTW, it prolly isn't the best idea to bring up the observation that a topic is getting off topic, that just helps.

Me thinks Brandon is an instigator.

I'm definitely voting for whoops on this one. It wouldn't even cross my mind to spell it without the "h" honestly.

You mean like Apr. for April? Those little things are weird though. Maybe I can figure out what they are.
I'll let you guys know if I find anything.

EddieMcD

Or Jun. for June...

mike o'leary
08-03-2001, 06:20 PM
yes...exactly like that...or abr for abreviation, or jan for january, or any other of the million things like that

EddieMcD
08-03-2001, 06:30 PM
Well, neither abbreviation nor January are short words.

Typically June is not abbreviated. You know there is such a thing as an abbreviation dictionary. It's way wack.

EddieMcD

You may be right there, but you'd be surprised at who and what abbreviate June.

What about the abbreviation 'May', for May?:p

::runs off:::D

EddieMcD
08-08-2001, 10:11 AM
Well by definition, May wouldn't be in abbreviation, it would be the EXACT SAME WORD!

You better run.

Ooooops! Guess that's what happens when you just kinda glance at the avatar instead of seeing who the poster was. My bust. An enemy of the high preist is a bad thing to be, one can get sent away for such things.

EddieMcD
08-10-2001, 07:23 PM
I know. Look at what happened to EJ.

Carolyn Duncan
08-10-2001, 07:53 PM
What happened? I don't know who EJ is.

EddieMcD
08-11-2001, 10:56 AM
Long story. Actually, I could probably find the whole thing in my chat logs.

Carolyn Duncan
08-11-2001, 12:10 PM
Reader's Digest it for me. But don't leave out the important stuff like they do.

EddieMcD
08-11-2001, 05:07 PM
Yes! Finally, an excuse to write battle stories.

Carolyn Duncan
08-14-2001, 11:23 PM
So write them already. You haven't done it yet.

EddieMcD
08-15-2001, 03:12 PM
Well, every thing is in my log. The only problem is translating it to third person.

Actually, it'll give me something to do for the rest of the summer.

Carolyn Duncan

When is your year over and how long is your day?

EddieMcD
08-16-2001, 03:21 PM
7:30-1:30, and we get out middle of June.

Well, this is all assuming the teachers don't go on strike. They don't have their contracts yet.

Carolyn Duncan
08-16-2001, 03:27 PM
You guys have short days! I had 7:45 to 2:40. Generally though everyone was in school by 7:30 due to traffic and buses. Some genious engineer made one entrance to a high school not realizing that buses, drivers, and drop offs would be clogging up the road. It was always funny to see the backups on the main road. The traffic light was never followed and there was traffic backed up for miles.

EddieMcD
08-16-2001, 03:41 PM
Well, we only have one entrance, but traffic flows pretty nicely.

Carolyn Duncan
08-16-2001, 03:43 PM
Our entrance was a stoplight. That's why there was such a traffic problem.

EddieMcD
08-16-2001, 03:54 PM
That explains it.
