So this year has something to do with fish. We can work with this.
My Rookie team is finally starting to get excited!

The four people that so far have said they can wait, either you lie, or you aren't as obsessed as you ought to be. Knowing FIRST, you lie!

On the contrary, they are trying to finish all those things that they were planning last spring to do before Kick-off. ;)

With everything I have on my plate -- chess, academic challenge, debate -- it's not a lie; chess and academic challenge are going away for me once the build season starts, so I'm savoring them while I still have them.

For real. Its tough. Being on a varsity sport, doing daily winter track workouts, and robotics? yikes. I value my sleep-so I can definitely wait for the kickoff. I'm not saying I'm not excited though... bring it on! :]
Well, let's see if this qualifies as a Red Herring ...
We all know the logo of FIRST is a triangle, circle, and square. Let's review the quasi-recent past games and look for a pattern:
- 2002's Zone Zeal: the game piece was a (soccer) ball
- 2003's Stack Attack: the game piece was a box -- a square
- 2004's FIRST Frenzi: the game piece was a (kick) ball
- 2005's Triple Play: the game piece was a tetra -- a triangle
- 2006's Aim High: the game piece was a (poof) ball
- 2007's Rack 'N Roll: the game piece was an inner tube -- a circle
- 2008's OverDrive: the game piece was a (track) ball
Could the 2009 game continue the pattern and employ a box of some sort? (Maybe a "fish tank" ? :ahh: )

This pattern has continued since at least 1997 (inner tube), 1998 (ball), 1999 ("floppies", a disk), 2000 (ball), 2001 (odd game).
Now whether or not it's a square remains to be seen.

Yeah our team noticed this at the end of the 2006 game, and the 07 and 08 games further continued this theory. It is merely theory and speculation, but we think it'd be hilarious if the pattern continues!
Besides, other than speculations and a picture of a fish, what else do we have to go off of? Waiting for the game to be announced? OVERRATED!!! :D

What sport do you play? I go to Oak Creek, so we probably play against you a few times.

I'm far too busy with other tasks to get caught up in pointless speculation.
If I wanted to do that I'd just design a game to pass the time in hope of influencing the game design committees decision. At least it's constructive.

You might try the game hint threads. No offense, but anything you can think of with the picture has probably been thought of, done, and posted already.

Anything you can think of.... you know, besides the actual meaning of it.
