AutoCAD Mech is good.
Inventor (i personally don't like it)
I use 3DS Max Design (animation software) because I've used it for years before, and the rendering is second only to Autodesk Maya and Vue.

I got Pro/Engineer for free. I went to ptc.com, I made an account, then I went to https://first.ptc.com/windchill and then went to home, utilities, clicked software downloads and then downloaded pro/e cd 1 and 2 files.
I prefer Solidworks and they give seats to schools.
Just contact mparchland here on Chief Delphi.
