i would suggest adding a media section in which albums of pictures of the team building the robot and doing outreach events and going to regionals can be shown

Looks nice. One minor issue I see right off the bat is that the page content element overlaps the header element by what looks like a pixel or two. Additionally, your Facebook feed box appears to overflow the sidebar, and I'm guessing overflow: hidden; is set in the CSS, as it disappears. Can you resize the Facebook feed by a little bit? It's especially annoying as the blue border just disappears on the right side. Other than that it looks very nice.

A small suggestion might be to put the search box in the header as well as the footer. The extra space on the right of all the links in the header looks a bit empty, and could use a search box there, I think. A lot of people probably won't scroll down to the footer to find a search box.
