Go to Post FIRST is kind of like charity work... you are, even if only in some small way, helping our future just a little bit, and you get a great feeling from it. Even if you are just ringing a bell (or clapping MOE sticks together), you're helping. - Amanda Morrison [more]

HELP WANTED: VOLUNTEERS

Talking with alot of my FIRST cohorts who work behind the scenes at many of the regionals a similar subject kept coming up that was a matter of concern: the lack of volunteers! Anyone who is directly involved with any regional or district event should list what position are in need of attention and anyone who can take the time to help should apply to help if they have the time. Without volunteers we don't have events to go to and all you guys will have is reveal videos and pretty photoshoots to show for all your six weeks of hard work! Step up!

Well said Ed. Volunteers make this program work, and it is guaranteed fun, just ask any of us that are addicted to volunteering for FIRST.

Most positions can be handled by just about anyone, some require you to be over 18, and a few are more restrictive in their requirements. Find a regional near you, get on VIMS and sign up.

Ed

I'm volunteering as a Robot Inspector for The Smoky Mountain Regional, the Boilermaker Regional and the Championship. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT OF ME!?!?!?!?

Just kidding Ed. It's fun to volunteer at the events and I really enjoy it.

Only three, Wayne? Surely you could do one more and make it halfway to what I got.
