CMP 2012 Hot Matches

With the release of the schedule, let's start a thread on the Hot Matches for the 2012 Championship Event.

These are matches where powerhouse teams are allied with or competing against each other in critical matches that will have an effect on their rankings.
This will help those watching the webcasts to more productively waste their day when they should be working.

Archimedes:
Q-8 1114 vs. 195
Q-52 1114 vs. 67
Q-107 195 vs. 67

Curie:

Galileo:

Newton:

I will try to provide some match numbers as soon as the schedule is released this morning.

Please help to update this thread as you notice trends in the standings as the event progresses to the final Saturday Qualification Matches.

Curie match 124: red... 341, 987, 2474 vs blue... 1986, 3807, 1391

Looks like titanium's alliance will have to put some big defense on the red alliance. 341 and 987 is a lethal combo!

Newton 15, 2/3 of the CVR champs reunite. 340 goes up against them. Should be entertaining.

Re: CMP 2012 Hot Matches

A couple Newton matches that should be good. I definitely missed a lot though. I used the Bold for the pre-competition favorites and the italics for the teams that werent talked about but had decently high OPR's (15+ range normally)

Newton:
30: 11 842 2067 vs 2062 1519 1717
40: 2067 1506 548 vs 488 45 68
67: 2194 330 3018 vs. 1983 3512 3504
95: 2122 2936 68 vs. 107 1629 1983
118: 2122 816 375 vs. 1662 174 4043
123: 1023 3937 488 vs 1983 1329 4379
130: 4086 548 365 vs 2471 2640 181
136: 1519 1023 1937 vs 2574 45 2122

Re: CMP 2012 Hot Matches

Well, looks like Archimedes matches 16, 24, 38, 52, 79, 98, 107, 132, 142 are the HOT matches... ;-)

I'll only speak for the Newton matches since I don't have any info about other teams... but the following have predicted* match sums of over 110:

#67 2194 330 3018 | 1983 3512 3504
#90 2460 1178 1717 | 4021 816 3512
#95 2122 2936 68 | 107 1629 1983
#101 1717 2834 1662 | 2705 222 1219
#106 3504 1519 68 | 86 714 365
#115 2471 3990 118 | 488 329 360
#136 1519 1023 1937 | 2574 45 222

In match 101, expect an exceptionally high score (for qualifications) from the Red alliance....

Nathan

Re: CMP 2012 Hot Matches

Any match that 2415 plays in. Looks like 82, 125 and 145 could be especially good. It's interesting that no-one has noticed 2415. They currently have the high score on Archimedes, and I expect them to be a top pick. They have outscored pretty much every team on Archimedes. Not to mention that they are fun to watch.
