What an absolutely amazing list of teams. But only 4 will stand alone atop the world. This is where history is written. This is where redemption is fought for.

Sad that only 1 of the 3 world champs are attending though.

Team 45 is really excited for IRI and have made plenty of modifications to our robot.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Cape Girardeau at my internship. Would have loved to attend though.

Also kind of shocked to see that 868 is the 37th team on the list, does anyone know of another event so veteran heavy? Means we've got more than 40 teams with a decade of experience or more.

It is incredible. Though is it just me, or is it less veteran heavy than last year? We've got some very impressive newer teams too!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is because they have been transitioning the selection criteria from Location based (Indiana teams getting a HUGE boost in selection priority) to almost entirely performance based... Aside from more IN teams applying due to reduced logistics costs (compared to other states), to me, it looks like being an Indiana team is of marginal if any benefit in terms of making the list.

The existence and growth of CAGE Match took a lot of pressure off the IRI selection process. Now IRI can fully embrace its role as the competition where egos come to play.
