Go to Post Engineers are not eligible to join NEMO, but that's OK! For us, there is an ad-hoc disorganization, notionally dubbed EMO. Meetings have no agenda and are called at random, usually in the evenings following long days at FIRST events. - Richard Wallace [more]

LEAP Motion controller

Check this out, it blows kinect out of the water
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVrpsh4U2N0&sns=em

What impressed me is at 1:40. It tracks each finger so closely that it almost looks like a mirror!

It also tracks objects as well as people.

Re: LEAP Motion controller

Wow, blows kinect out of the water in price too! Unfortunately, it looks like FIRST partnering with them for next year is unlikely since they're "expected" to ship in Dec/Jan.

Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly happy with kinect being used in FRC. The uses for this, though, in other applications, would be amazing.
