Labview/Classmate setup problems

Getting the Driver Station up and running is proving to be pretty difficult for our rookie team (mostly our faults). Here are my questions:

1. We've misplaced the labview thumb drive. We're scouring the lab and I'm hopeful it will show up (it's gotta be there somewhere), but, is the FRC Labview software available for download, or will we have to request a new thumb drive if it doesn't?

2. We did install Labview on our classmate before the drive went missing. We didn't put in the serial number during installation though, so it installed in trial mode, or something like that. Do you guys know if this is why the CRIO Imaging Tool is not under Labview in Program Files? Or does the Imaging Tool come with the NI update we must install later?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Labview/Classmate setup problems

You need the FRC version on the LabVIEW stick. It isn't available online.

See the bottom of this page for the online updates that you have to apply: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprogr...control-system

The Imaging Tool comes in the Utilities update: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2262

The robot specific LabVIEW comes on the LabVIEW update: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2261

Re: Labview/Classmate setup problems

Thanks a lot! It looks like I was only installing the 3rd update, which I thought included everything. After installing the 2262 and 2261 page updates, I have the CRIO Imaging tool.

Now my only question is, did I make a big mistake in installing Labview off the thumb drive without putting in the serial number? Will I need to reinstall with the serial, and if so, will I have to run the three updates again?

Thanks all.

Re: Labview/Classmate setup problems

Nah, you don't have to reinstall to add the serial #.

Add the serial # and activate the license when you can connect to the Internet. Look under Programs -> Nationakl Instruments -> License Manager
