I know old habits die hard and those amps needed a ground. I have several Heathkit products sitting here in my room and all of them have a stud on the back.

Yeah but don't forget: all the new control system stuff was introduced back in 2009. That year the robots really needed a ground even if they didn't actually have one. Maybe it was a bit of prescience by the designers.

2009: The year Thor God of Thunder was on the GDC. Point to any one of the game rules and I'll tell you how it contributed to the 50kV+ static discharges in week 1.

We should chat about how to change the labeling. I agree that Ground is incorrect, but at DEKA we still used that terminology on all the devices that didn't have isolated returns because it was a convenient (and wrong) word. We'll need to find clear and concise labeling that doesn't confuse students.
