Re: How many teams have sucessfully done a triple balance?

Team 706,2481, and 4143 accomplished the unassisted triple on the practice field. Unfortunately we were unable to do this in a match because of alliance picking not playing out as planned.

Re: How many teams have sucessfully done a triple balance?

I don't exactly remember which teams we were with, but my team's highlight of the Wisconsin Regional was triple balancing. We ended in dead last, but we all rejoiced when it happened! We were having constant technical difficulties throughout the competition, so it felt really great to be part of that. Only triple balance of the regional, i think.

The 16/148/4090 alliance triple balanced once in the semi-finals at Dallas East Regional.

We were triple balanced against twice in the finals at GTRW, it was quite amazing to watch. 2056, 2200 and 4001.

If there are 2340 teams (which I read somewhere) this amounts to less than 5% of the teams (about 3.5%) after adding the five listed after the post identifying 76 teams... Pretty amazing!

How many have managed the triple balanced at more than one event (i.e. with different sets of alliance partners)? I know 67, 469, 910, and 1918 have done it. I'm sure there are many others.

Re: How many teams have sucessfully done a triple balance?

So far, by my count, these are the ones who are qualified for CMP (bolded):

67, 85, 118, 121, 125, 148, 177, 188, 228, 230, 236, 244, 245, 360, 453, 469, 494, 522, 548, 573, 599, 610, 639, 694, 843, 910, 922, 956, 1023, 1024, 1075, 1114, 1157, 1350, 1388, 1425, 1501, 1502, 1559, 1635, 1661, 1671, 1684, 1718, 1720, 1747, 1756, 1918, 2168, 2240, 2337, 2557, 2599, 2634, 2791, 2851, 2928, 2936, 3003, 3098, 3161, 3175, 3230, 3360, 3452, 3456, 3601, 3656, 3711, 3729, 3958, 3970, 4002, 4028, 4175, 4307

That's all that have qualified by merit, I can't find a database of Chairmans and EI winners. I included ourselves in it because I know that we got EI and thus qualified.

Notably, most of the teams in the club are from Michigan, so the events that MSC brings will likely be very different than those at MAR. Also, only 12 robots can come from MSC, so there are quite a few triple balancers who will be staying home.

Found a few more, I think. Still, pretty impressive (good or bad, not sure).

67, 85, 118, 121, 125, 148, 177, 188, 228, 230, 236, 244, 245, 360, 453, 469, 494, 522, 548, 573, 599, 610, 639, 694, 843, 910, 922, 956, 1023, 1024, 1075, 1114, 1157, 1350, 1388, 1425, 1501, 1502, 1559, 1635, 1661, 1671, 1684, 1718, 1720, 1747, 1756, 1918, 2168, 2240, 2337, 2557, 2599, 2634, 2791, 2851, 2928, 2936, 3003, 3098, 3161, 3175, 3230, 3360, 3452, 3456, 3601, 3656, 3711, 3729, 3958, 3970, 4002*, 4028, 4175, 4307

Bold = current merit-based, Underline = attending otherwise, Italics = qualified but not registered. I may have missed a few "qualified but not registered"; 4002 just caught my attention.

I don't think that 85, 244, or 4002 are qualified for CMP. I think they won awards (Chairman's, Rookie All Star, etc.) at MI district events, but that only qualifies them to compete for those awards at MSC where the overall winners qualify for CMP.

Yes, we have pre-registered for CMP. So we are not a merit-based registered team as of now.

16 and 4090 did the triple balance with 148 in Dallas and are both qualified and attending the Championship.
