I got the info directly from FIRST. They had an interruption which prevented them from posting it right away but said they will have the info posted shortly.

CSV is a standard spreadsheet format. Just open the csv in excel, it will work.

Thanks for putting this info up.

Has anyone reverse engineered the method FIRST used yet?

If so, do tell.

Check with FIRST...

Their site says 335, and the list we got had 335 teams....

Hmmm, Bugs are always possible...perhaps FIRST will release an updated list??

I doubt there would be any large changes if they did release another list.

I'm going to try to do it during closing nite tonite....if I'm not crying my eyes out cause its my last show....

But just by first glance....splitting the regional winners didnt really work to well, huh?

Also, there are some teams that, if they did go by the 1,2,3,4 method (like FIRST said), it would be impossible that they would be together, but they are.

I dont know, I find this rather disappointing, personally...but we'll do the best we can.

I'm curious as to who wrote this program and how the
went about it. I am new to programming with db's and
I've only used VB. Could I get some more info on the
tech side of this program? I would love to see some
source code!

: I'm curious as to who wrote this program and how went about it.

I used FileMaker Pro to develop this. FMP uses extensive GUI design but has a lot of opportunity for internal scripting. The bulk of the effort is designing the DB. Then I have to get the fields (some with built-in calculations) working as desired. The scripting really adds a lot of power. You can learn more about FileMaker at www.filemaker.com. I use FMP for a lot of information management professionally and personally. For example, my engineering logbook is FMP. I can always find past entries when friends are busy looking through their notebooks for where they wrote something down...
