Wow that is really cool how you use the drill transmission as a reduction for both the drill and Chip motor. That is something that is very unique. I could also see by doing this you could possilbe put a servo on the drill transmission as a shifter liek many other teams have done in the past.

I'm wondering if the new drill tranny is capable of handling the input torque from both the chip and the drill. I think I remember this being discussed last year, Joe Johnson said something like "let me put on my safety glasses before you turn it on"

The new transmission is beefier, but is it THAT much stronger?

Let us know how it works out under competition-duress.
