year round
As of last summer, we work year round. A couple of people from the team in 2002 consistantly worked over the summer, including myself. We worked on old robots, moved into a new lab, modified the 2001 robot for the 02 game by putting a ball mechanism on it and competed with it at the Cal Games, an offseason competition. We also helped The Milpitas Team (1120) build a robot to compete with at the Cal Games. I think they are the first team to compete in an offseason competition without having compted in the previous year's FIRST competition.
