Carnegie Mellon engineering assistant professor Metin Sitti has built a tiny robot that can walk on water, much like insects known as water skimmers, water skaters, pond skaters or Jesus bugs...

That's awesome!
Wish they had pictures of it. =(
Either that or I completely overlooked them.

Pictures can be found here: http://www.me.cmu.edu/faculty1/sitti.../waterstrider/

Click on the CMU's Nano Robotics website link at the bottom of the article, then click projects, then Water Strider Robot (at least I'm assuming that's what it is).

One of their projects, the WaalBot (wall climbing robot), sounds pretty interesting.
