Tuesday 9/14 10-11pm MODERN MARVELS: The Million Dollar Challenge Investigates the history of The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 1958 inception to the present day. DARPA, an unique agency under the Department of Defense, is charged with the responsibility of understanding and developing technology to defend the United States. We highlight five of DARPA's most exciting projects throughout its history, concluding with its autonomous vehicle initiative and the Grand Challenge--a race in which robots compete for a million-dollar prize.
