This month's Wired Magazine had a short, yet interresting article concerning science and and technology in Iraq. The new Minister of Science and Technology, Rashad Mandan Omar, seems to be pretty optimistic about working with the West and making Iraq a mondern technological society like Malaysia and South Korea that it once was in the pre-Saddam era. He also sees technology as being a big key into making Iraq a secure nation.

Re: Science and Technology in Iraq

That's really cool. Maybe within a few years there will be FIRST teams from Iraq.
