Re: Birthdays during build season?

my b-day is 4 days after ship date, at which point i will just be getting back into a normal-ish sleep cycle. what party is this that you speak of? :-)

if i get a party, its usually a month or two too late because no one in my family feels like planning anything. Even this one, my 18th, will probably be nothing special.

O well

Re: Birthdays during build season?

January 11th for me. My parents threw a suprise party for me with the help of our mentors. It was really fun, we had cake and sodas and stuff. It's fun celebrating with the robotics team.

Re: Birthdays during build season?

Last year one of our programmer's birthday was right on the weekend of the VCU regional... we had cake and Dr. Pepper in the hotel.

Re: Birthdays during build season?

I think that at least half of bacon has birthdays during build. We eat dinner together every night so we make sure there is cake and we sing. One year our driver got a cake with the CAD drawing of the robot on it. That was neat. But I think we eat cake at least 2 times a week!!

Re: Birthdays during build season?

Mine was the kickoff date. I spent it enjoying the kickoff. That was probably the best way I could ever think of to spend it.

Re: Birthdays during build season?

My birthday and one of the other students on our team share the same birthday of Jan. 29th.

our parents plan that we have dinner at school everyday we stay durning build season. the other students parents picked the 29th as their day for dinner and planed with my mom to surprise* me at school with a cake toward the end of dinner.

(*it was a surprise because outside of school and FIRST we own a personal business that takes up the rest of our time.)

What a way to turn 18.....
