4: Make sure the Title of the thread is concise yet descriptive. Titles like "Help!" don't actually draw in the people who are likely to answer your question.
5: In the Message box, give enough detail that people can likely figure out what you're doing and what you need.
6: Proofread before you post.

Step 0.b - On most forums, a general rule is don't revive old threads. If a thread hasn't had a reply in 2-3 years, you might want to start a new one.

It's just misleading to see those kinds of questions under FIRST, and Competition, where it's so broad and the posts I see are for a different game.

Making it clear that I am from FTC is vital though for the most part.

One thing you might want to do is add your team number to your profile. There is a space to type in the number, and a drop-down menu to select which program you compete in. What you have in your signature is great, but additional reinforcement doesn't hurt Additionally, there is an option to block signatures when viewing threads, so having another non-blockable designation is a good idea (I don't know how many actually block signatures, but you never know).

I'd tell them that CD is easily one of the best and most fun ways to learn about FIRST, robotics in general, mechanical skills, and a good place to go just to have fun
