**FIRST EMAIL**/2008 Program Book Deadline Approaching!

Greetings Teams:

The 2008 Program Book development is under way, and we need you to carefully review your team's information to be sure it is accurate. All team information must be correct and up to date in TIMS no later than December 18 at 5:00 pm EST in order to be included in the program book. This information includes:

1. Team Names*
Please remember that the main Team Name is how your team name will read in FIRST literature, including the program book and the FIRST web site. This "official" team name is generated when you name your Sponsor/Partner(s) in TIMS and add Partner information.
The short team name will be used on the scoring board at competitions.
Tip! : If you have a sponsor(s)/partner you will want to give credit by noting them in your short team name! This short team name is a maximum of 21 letters and should include your partners and your school.

2.
Sponsor(s)
3.
Team Motto
4.
Robot Name
5.
Name of School
6. State/Province (in Canada or Brazil)
7.
Rookie Year

*
Team Name - when reviewing your team name, please pay special attention that your school or sponsor has not been listed more than once. Many teams have entered duplicate and triplicate information (e.g., Jones Corporation & Smith High School, Smith High School, Smith High School. Please also capitalize Sponsor names and all other designations as appropriate)

Go Teams!

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/2008 Program Book Deadline Approaching!

How are we to submit a robot name prior to building a robot?

I think in the past the system will show your info if you update it after that deadline, at the actual event when they display your team info, so I guess it's no big deal.

Uh oh. Looks like you missed this thread Cory.
I think FIRST wants teams to act like typical "parents" of our robots this year, and pick a name for it before it's "born".

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/2008 Program Book Deadline Approaching!

The team has been discussing robot names for 2 weeks now and it has been fun in a sort of unknown kind of way. It kind of goes with being - clueless -.
