Lunacy Commemorates Apollo 11's landing on the Moon

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum has created a real time media recreation of the Apollo 11 expedition. For next next couple of weeks we will pretend it is 1969, not 2009, and follow the mission.

You can follow the mission live at this website, and configure a Twitter feed so you can hear the mission audio in real time.

At the time of posting this announcements, CAPCOM has reported we are about 71 hours from the launch of the Saturn V launch vehicle that will carry the expedition to the moon.

You can join the event at the Kennedy website http://wechoosethemoon.org/

Some other news of today is that Joe Namath has reported to the Jets training camp, and also the British House of Lords has been assured that US Navy submarines will not harm the Loch Ness monster.

Very cool, I was hoping someone would do this. I willbe following this as often as possible. (Remember, it all started well before July 16!)

I just can't wait to see if they land successfully and make it back alive...
