Initially, this makes me uneasy. I do not like that students will be required to share information for teams to be eligible for any awards.

I don't think that is what is said. My interpretation is that authorized students will be able to submit information for the awards process.

One of the things that annoy's me about this 'sports event' is the level of paperwork required to attend. I'm sure students have to do paperwork to play football but no one has to do paperwork to attend a football game.

Anything we can do to streamline the process is good with me.

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/Student Team Members & Parent/Legal Guardian Information System/2

Interestingly, we bring our t-shirt shooting robot onto the track during football games, and we have no additional paperwork to sign. I doubt being tackled by an over-enthusiastic football player is covered in the paper work we signed for robotics.

In regard to the comparison, there is often a fence between the spectators and the players, even if there wasn't only an idiot would be in danger of more than getting hit with a football. At a regional the kids can go down to the pits and see the robots up close and maybe a little bit too personal. I think if you stay in the stands you would be fine.

Re: **FIRST EMAIL**/Student Team Members & Parent/Legal Guardian Information System/2

Part of me is wondering if this might have something to do with Deans kickoff homework from last year. To start collecting data on how many students go through the program and ethnicity along with then being able to track them down later on in life just by having their name in a database. I'm not excited about possibly having to submit information like this, but depending on how it is used I might be more at ease with it.
