Team 359: Helpful Tips in Managing and Sustaining a FIRST Robotics Program Workshop

Dear FRC Community,
If you folks have time, please come check out our 1 hr. workshop at CMP on April 25th from 6-7pm (right after Karthik's session) on our personal journey in how we go about maintaining our program.
I will be presenting along with a couple of students who will be there to answer questions based on their experiences, one a 12th grader (4 years in the program) and the other being an 8th grade 1st year member.

We feel that we have a lot of ideas to offer teams.

As some of you may know, we have been able to generate at least 100k/year since 2005, and have raised over $5 million since that time in supporting Robotics and other Robotics-related programs in our School, Community, and State.

We will pass out an outline of the presentation, as well as presenting samples of what we have received this year, including writeup proposals.
Specifically, our actual NASA grant writeup for which we have been successful in getting 4 times in the last 6 years, 2 recent legislative bills for promoting STEM in our State, a sample donation request letter/thank you letter, and an actual $25,000 grant that our team applied for and received.
Details of all of the grants we applied for and received will be at our Hall of Fame booth in 2 separate 15 lbs 5-inch binders. You are also welcome to stop by and ask me any questions you have during the competition.
I do all of the writeups for our team.

Thanks and see you folks there!

Glenn
Team 359

We can post our PP slides up on CD-media when we get back from CMP.

Steve,
look forward to seeing you folks.
Sorry for not getting back to you yet.

We are trying to finish all of our preparations since we leave Monday morning and wont come back until April 30th from CMP.
