This guide shows you how to build a basic crate that will cost about $150, take only a few hours to assemble, and will be toolless once assembled.

Due to the lack of time to perfect this document and provide photographs and details specifications, it is best that teams spend a little time thinking about this design before building their crate.
This document will be updated next season (current season is 2006). This season team #246 will be helping local Boston rookie teams build this crate. As a part of that event, more information will be collected to improve this document.
In the mean time, we would like to extend help to other teams in using this incomplete guide. Please contact us when you find that we’ve left out too many details by e-mailing bufirst@bu.edu or mensing@bu.edu. We cannot guarantee we will be able to get back to you, but we will do our best.
