pakratWow, i forgot how mcuh aluminum there was on that rack...
01-30-2005 11:21 PM
BoyWithCape195First guess, your using a FP to power your arm
01-30-2005 11:24 PM
Tom BottiglieriThats a HUGE sprocket attached that FP gearbox. So obviously, you are just trying to waste weight and space or are going for a HUGE gear up.
But why?
01-30-2005 11:25 PM
pakratJust to let you know, the sprocket has been changed, but is still the same size.
01-30-2005 11:26 PM
Stephen KowskiMy guess is you all are planning on being overweight......interesting strategy.....i like it
01-30-2005 11:28 PM
pakratWE might have a different plan than being overweight, but thats just my guess

pakratAlso, we are not using all of the supplies on that rack (at least not on the same robot.) You'll just have to seee our special twist at the regionals

tiffany34990that's a lot of material-- i would like to say though it very organized on that rack. good job with that but a huge sprocket, i can't imagine right now what you guys are doing. i look forward in finding out. if you guys have multiple bots that'll be interesting. have fun and good luck guys!
01-31-2005 05:12 PM
pakrathaving multiple bots
don't scare us into doing it... WE could make two completely different robots that wigh 60lbs each, and use a random one in any given match...

We haven't bought the material for our cart.
01-31-2005 09:13 PM
pakratAlthough we may be using some odds and ends from this on part of our cart...

02-01-2005 02:36 PM

02-01-2005 02:55 PM
pakratThats a little bit tricky, we don't want to post any thing until we're 100% that its working... But i hope you like our teaser!!

cireWow you guys have alot of material, good luck and ill see you at the regionals Huron.
02-09-2005 05:07 PM
Evan AustinWow, you guys must be really brave to use a sprocket that size on a fisher price motor
, I wonder what size sprocket you are driving with this combination. Unless you are doing something with this setup that requires very little power, I think you are going to see magic smoke coming from that thing.

well heres my thorey...
that sprocket is going to turn their turret for an arm, the FP will be mounted straight up and down, and the sprocket will turn their arm turret
