A JVN original.

I sense two things.

First, a flying robot soon to be appear in a FIRST field designed by JVN.

and secondly, a caption contest picture.

A 'bomb rack' seems slightly excessive for a FIRST competition. I think that this robot would be perfect for when you just need to get that 14th tetra on the center goal.

That's not very GP for the other airships in the area....

I heard some rumor that this picture may have gotten him his job at IFI

I am loving the propulsion jets or should I say the drill motors. Sorry John, those went out along with the 2004 game.

GO 1403!!!

I'm not sure if the "Scary Face" is refering to the face on the blimp, or the face on the designer...

A bomb rack doesn't seem to be quite "GP," now does it?

Nice blimp John, but unfortunately it isnt the original FIRST blimp concept...

My brother came up with the blimp idea for our rookie year back in 1996, and his drawing was eerily simmilar to yours.

He stuck with the aviation theme, and is now designing autopilot computers for the Airbus A380 (now thats a scary thought).

So how did you plan on filling the balloon portion using legal kit parts?

Rob

...well it's got to be lighter than air to float, so of course it's under the weight limit!

Whoa... one from the archives...

That picture is from Kickoff 2002, my freshman year at Clarkson University and first year on 229 (back then we DID have drill motors). I was just goofing off, and joking around with some of our HS kids. "Death from Above" was the result...

It is actually inspired by the "Kirov Airship" unit from the videogame Red Alert 2.
Kudos to anyone who recognized that...

I never claimed to have any originality...

Still not quite sure why this means I have "waaay too much free time haha"...

PS - Yes, GP is lacking... bad John, bad.
