701's CF Ramp
Here's a pic of our 2007 bot's carbon fiber ramp. The ramp is 38" by 40" and weighs in at about 4.5 lbs. It has a 2 ply carbon fiber layup on each side with a 1/2" foam core and was vacuum bagged. It also has a couple of 4 ply spars to reinforce the critcal areas where stresses will be higher. Not shown is a "kickstand" that is mounted underneath which is winched via cable by a FP in a 64:1 BaneBot Transmission. The entire ramp, "kickstand" assembly, and motor weighs just 10 lbs.
