LEGO/VEX Hybrid

The vex platform has a great controller and powerful little motors, but it is lacking a bit in the hardware department in my mind...

LEGOs, on the other hand, have almost limitless mechanical possibilities; but they have a somewhat lame controller with only a few motor ports (not to mention most of my motors are shot).

Solution? Mix them together, of course. This little coaxial swerve drive robot uses four vex motors linked directly into LEGO axles and beams. Only four LEGO pieces had to be modified to get the motors to work (LEGO axle connectors, shortened to replace the vex motor clutch) and the rest went together fairly well.
