This is the highlight of this year's robot. It is a catapult, but there are very little details I will reveal about it.
It works great for what we are doing. It's powered by two pneumatic actuators (forgot what size) as well as surgical tubing. Any other details, just ask. But I may not answer, as many details are still highly classified.
A video might come soon, but we'll see how things go here first.

Seat NinjaI love the catapult, it looks amazing. I'm worried about the score/reload time. Those appear to be 1.5" pistons (could be 2") which take a good amount of air. It would seem that you'd empty the tanks with a few shots and catapults are inherently slow. Other than that it's an amazing bot, nice work.
EDIT: Ooh, I like your release method, it's one of those "i could have thought of that" things.

Mentor_MikeI'm curious, what's the range on that catapult?
(And have you guys tossed any non-FIRST related objects. My brain wanders toward the watermelon variety...)
