Okay, I'm going to take a guess on how this one works. Each spike stores something like 3 balls, which that belt thing lowers on to in order to shoot fast bursts. Am I close?

That's pretty much exactly it. The launcher - nicknamed "The Chainsaw" - is on a lift and uses the prongs to pick up the balls. The gatling part of the launcher is set to rotate a quarter turn each time to line up with a tooth which is attached to that chain that launches the ball. The tooth and the gatling are using encoders to make sure they always line up so we're hoping for no jamming.

Hey Vince! I may or may not be at the competitions this year since it is getting close to exam time for me. I'm helping out 1305 as much as possible while I'm on breaks and holidays for university so hopefully I get a chance to go!
