Ahh...it's a "Chamber of Commerce Day" in DFW. Fixin' to be nearly 70 degrees by Sunday!!!:D Y'all have a great Snow Day! :

We lost a day on Saturday (or first of the build season I believe) due to horrible forecasters & less than 1/2" of snow on the ground that was gone by the time I finally woke up for good at ~11am.

I would ask if we win... but no one really won in that situation. :(

We had 4 days that school was canceled earlier in the build season, and two of those days we took the opportunity to work full days (with limited attendance) and the other two we didn't work at all and then worked a Sunday we hadn't planned to.

It used to be a treat when we had snow days because our team could meet at the shop around 11 or 12 and get an extra 3 hours of work in. But as of last year the school district found out and now they won't let us :(

Yeah, it's actually illegal in New York.

With good reason. I can't imagine the liability issues and consequences if something happened to a student at the shop or on his way to the shop on a day when school - and extracurricular events - were cancelled. At the least, I could see the loss of mentor(s) - possibly the dismantling of the entire team.
