View Full Version : 2012 Drivers station image
Our team has a 2009 classmate (distributed in 2010), and have not been able to put the 2012 image on it. We followed the instructions posted by FIRST here: http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default/files/uploadedFiles/Robotics_Programs/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2012_Assets/Creating_a_USB_drive_for_2012_Classmate_Image_Rest oration_Rev0.pdf
However, the problem persists. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, why is 7-Zip downloaded then never used?

Same question, it doesn't seem to be used in the repair process.
BTW, after following the process, our Classmate imaged just fine.
May I suggest you follow the process of creating the thumb-drive again. You may have missed a step.

i have gotten the image to load to 16% and it stops (before i got to 7% and it stopped)
now i get this new error that says
[ Retry] Restoring W:\Windows\winsxs\x86_presentationcore_31bf3856ad3 64e35_6.17601/17514_none_ae387c2aee366287\PresentationCore.dll again <Error = 1392>
i get this error 4 times and then it says
Error restoring image.
The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
Adjusting Boot files...
Disk 0 is now the selected disk.
Partition 1 is now the selected partition.
Diskpart succesfuly set the partition ID.
Leaving DiskPart...
Full Classmate restortation complete. Pres Enter to Reboot.
When I press enter, the class mate restarts (good)
but problem here says "BootMGR is missing"
any ideas on this?
We were having imaging problems as well, and were running into issues with the supplement and other options, so I went with something I saw here on CD (can't remember who to give credit to). Now this will only work for teams who've been in FRC for at least a year, so I'm not sure what to tell rookie teams besides following the documentation on the KOP website.
We took last year's imaging flash drive, copied it to separate drive to have it backed up, and cleared out the original drive. Then we took this year's imaging files, copied them to last year's now empty drive, and used that to re-image the computer. It worked fine and we then installed the three updates with no problems.
