View Full Version : .0625" thickness C-Channel?
Trying to Help

I've been hunting around tonight trying to find some c-channel requested by one of our mentors. He'd like 1.25" x 1.25" x .0625" aluminum in 8 foot lengths. I've checked McMaster-Carr, OnlineMetals.com, MetalsDepot.com, SmallParts.com and probably two or three more places and come up empty handed. Anyone have a suggestion?
I'm going to call around to some local places tomorrow but I thought I'd reach out to the Chief Delphi community also.
Thank you!

Hm I am curious to what you would want this for?
Our local supplier didn't seem to have any.

I believe that it's going to be part of the ball shooter. Thanks for checking your local supplier!

If you have a band saw and some patience, you can make a piece of 1.25" square tubing into a channel....

We could do that. I'll suggest it. The next step will be borrowing a bandsaw... :)

Or find a really big sheet metal brake and make it from sheet
In the past, I have bought some shafting from http://www.speedymetals.com. Not sure if they have the size of channel you are looking for, but something to keep in mind.
