I have followed all of the steps given from FIRST at http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default/files/uploadedFiles/Robotics_Programs/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2012_Assets/Creating_a_USB_drive_for_2012_Classmate_Image_Rest oration_Rev0.pdf

When I try to boot from the flash drive, it goes through and runs fine, but when I restarted the computer afterward, it now says

"BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

I looked and BOOTMGR is on the flash drive that I have been using to reimage the computer.

PLEASE HELP!!

I've seen that happen to the restore stick when the DOS XCOPY wasn't done correctly.

So your Classmate boots from the new restore stick and successfully installs Windows?

Then when you later restart the Classmate without the restore stick, the Classmate can't find the Boot manager?

In trying to reimage again, I noticed that it didn't fully reimage. I will try to do the DOS xcopy again and see if that fixes it.

After several more tries, the re-imaging process keeps getting stopped during the "imagex" stage, around 26% complete. I still get "BOOTMGR is missing" error when trying to boot the computer.

Put your USB stick in the USB hub, then the USB hub in the computer and try again.

I have found repeatedly that the USB stick just doesn't make a great connection to the Classmate.
