Either this (http://www.team228.org/media/The-Real-FIRST.mp3) or this (http://www.team228.org/media/FIRST-Two.mp3).
Here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46068)'s the sordid backstory.
I see that Sandstorm - Darude has already been spoken for.
We also would happen to be a fan of Basshunter, particurally I Can Walk on Water.
Generally anything techno-y for our team. Basshunter, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, and I'm trying to get them into some Skrillex.

I highly anticipate me being able to say that "The Final Countdown" is one of the best FIRST Songs, because that means I got to the finals.
Really good tension builder for the final matches, especially when there are underdogs vs established teams.
CRAZY FROG!! Gota love it. Or cotton eye joe.

If this season doesn't feature Sweet Georgia Brown heavily in the playlists, I'm quitting.
Also the entire Space Jam soundtrack.

If you are going to start going towards MLP music, I would recommend "For the New Lunar Republic" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sf0tYs5U5RI
For actual FIRST music, my favorite has to be Sandstorm. I swear, they play that song 5 times a day at the Michigan district competitions...

Thanks guys!!!... Keep up the good work, this is helping me out a lot!!!
I tend to zonk out on a mix of 70s progressive rock (Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Genesis, King Crimson), mashups (Mashup Manifesto by Isosine is the current fav), Winter Wrap Up, The Big Bang Theory Theme Song, and the Flaming Lips for the entirety of my teams meetings.
The senior members of my team have taken a liking to Levels by Avicii (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ovdm2yX4MA&ob=av2e) this year.
As far as general "bands" go, Pendulum, The Glitch Mob, Blackmill, and Skrillex are good, though we like to mix in some alternative and jazz music occasionally.

Civilization by Justice & Fly Like an Eagle from Seal/Steve Miller Band.
Just today our team was discussing this to some degree...
we seem to all like party with pinkie...

As well as:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6xRSafBV8o
Those are the only 2 I know by name, we also all agreed on some smooth jazz and classical.
along with alot of the other songs/artists mentioned here. (IFD FTW!)
Unfortunately, not all of the team has the same appreciation for Winter Warp Up that I do... although, sometimes those who disapprove are outnumbered... :P
My team mostly prefers rock/alternative music but they seem to have taken a liking to Deadmau5's (or is it Deadmau5'?) - Ghosts N Stuff though

personally i like the Orgy cover of Blue Monday by New Order...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAt9QTmVc7Q
and then you can't go wrong with Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys... which has a special place in my heart from our rookie year at the Portland regional...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qORYO0atB6g&ob=av2e
and a number of Muse songs are good too. I like Hysteria in particular

You've probably already checked this out, but Skrillex did a pretty good remix of Levels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRqZAW1YCG0
For those interested in electronic type music, I'd also recommend Digitalism, and Eric Prydz (The full sets (http://soundcloud.com/eric-prydz/eric-prydz-pres-epic-alexandra) he releases tend to be better than individual songs).

I'm a fan of any song that starts off loud and upbeat. Those always seem to get me pumped for whatever I'm about to do. (Calc tests not included.)
Some examples of what I mean, generally rock:
Journey - Separate Ways (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afHQd-lP4yU)
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MLp7YNTznE)
Alice in Chains - Man in the Box (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLUj-jh_UyQ)
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYxkezUr8MQ)
And for some reason, I really like Jay-Z and Kanye West - Paris (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffVIq_dbOq8) (Don't worry, it's the clean version.)
Sandstorm - Darude
Yeah, what he said ^^^^^^
Hands Up - Daft Punk
Although Party in the USA was played 7 times in one day at the Hartford CT Regional last year...
Notice that techno and rock/alternative feature heavily here...
And yet GSR has had a steady diet of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift for the last few years. In fact, they've accomplished a remarkable feet...making a playlist that is almost identical to KISS 108 and yet, somehow, far more passe.
BRING BACK THE TECHNO! GSR in 2003-2004 was excellent... Eiffel 65, Darude, etc.... All the classics.

It seems our team loves anything techno or older rock music and even the occasional pop song.
Personally, I love Bassnectar, Skrillex, and my new favorite song of all time is Rainbow Factory. It's really disturbing.
Appropriate this year might be -
Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy - The Crunge
((ending))
Take it take it
Excuse me
Oh will ya excuse me
I'm just trying to find the bridge
Has anybody seen the bridge?
Please!
(Have you seen the bridge?)
I ain't seen the bridge!
(Where's that confounded bridge?)
It might make it onto knowledgeable DJs' playlists, particularly if we give them clues.

Cool indeed. They might slip some Dave Mathews in there too. Anyone seen the bridge?
Is there a London regional? Isn't London Bridge in Arizona now? Come to think of it, didn't Fergie have a "bridge" song? (Oh Snap version for the tender ears at FRC tournaments)

Alright, here's a huge list that I always hear:
Cotton Eye Joe - Rednex
I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
The Time (Dirty Bit) - Black Eyed Peas
Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO
Whip It - Devo
You Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC
And there are also the classic FRC competition mascot dance songs, such as:
YMCA - Village People
Cha Cha Slide - Mr. C
Cupid Shuffle - Cupid
Jump On It (Apache) - The Sugarhill Gang
Electric Slide - The Hit Crew
Crank That (Soulja Boy) - Soulja Boy
I got every one of these on my iPod, because we plan to play FRC music at our scrimmage, rather than boring radio music. And the dance songs are for a dance session, to give the teams some relaxation time.
Ever since I found this thread I've been working on putting all our teams favorite songs in a youtube playlist
Heres what I have so far:

The song that gets me most pumped up for anything FIRST related is easily Hall Of Fame by The Script ft. Will.I.Am
Right before my first match driving, the Imperial March came on. Shortly thereafter, Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie was played. Definitely some of my favorites to hear at competition.
There's also a song called "The Tempest (The Siren's Song; The Banshee's Cry)"
by The Agonist, which I especially love because of the team name association

Timed perfectly? Whatever do you mean? The only special thing I could find was that the song's intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jH6P9SXsS_8) is in fact, exactly 15 seconds before the song "drops" into the main part. Now if only I could remember why 15 was important...
