Bosch gearmotor specs

So, I've spent the past few hours digging around on Chief Delphi trying to find some specs on the motor, I've google'd the model number and came up with nothing. I'm almost positive it was in the Kit of Parts at one point

Its model number is M.R. 904 07 06 00

The motor is 2 3/8" dia and 3 3/4" long. The gearbox is 4 1/8" from end to end and 1" thick. The shaft is 1/4" dia and 2 3/4" long

I'm looking for info about the RPM and usable torque that the motor puts out.

That appears to be the Bosch van door motor (used in a Delphi power sliding door assembly), not to be confused with the Tiagene van door motor with similar, but not identical specifications. More information here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26059) and here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41802). That particular motor was supplied circa 2001.

For what it is worth, the motor is not the exact same motor as the ones from prior years (the Bosch ones we had last year were also obsolete stock from but from Bosch -- they lost the business to Taigene) but they are PRETTY close. There are a bit of difference here and there but mostly not to much. I used 75 RPM free speed and 35N-m stall torque for my calcs. Things turned out about right.

My guess is yes since it was supplied in a previous year KOP.Yes, with the caveat that your inspector may not recognize it—so try to find a FIRST document identifying the motor. Here's some information that may or may not help you convince an inspector that it's a legal motor.

The 2001 documents refer to both a Bosch (http://www.first-a-holics.com/competitions/2001/red-1-loose.pdf) (and here (http://team358.org/files/first_technology/KOP/2001_KOP.pdf)) and a Tiagene (http://www.first-a-holics.com/competitions/2001/robot-pt4.pdf) motor, but only depict the Tiagene (the image is labelled "Bosch", but the motor is not of the Bosch design). I think FIRST supplied two Bosch motors (with the wrong specs) instead of two Tiagenes (which had been provided the year before (http://team358.org/files/first_technology/KOP/2000_KOP.pdf)). They did not supply 188 with one of each. Actually, if I or someone else can track down 188's 2001 robot (Blizzard II), or an close-up image thereof, it would be reasonably easy to confirm which type was actually provided. (My recollection is that they were the Bosch van door motors, but I'm no better than 75% sure of that.)

In 1999, by contrast, there was both a Bosch and a Tiagene van door motor supplied (one of each; see here (http://www.first-a-holics.com/competitions/1999/GrayContainer.pdf) and here (http://www.first-a-holics.com/competitions/1999/TheRobot.pdf)). Unfortunately, no part numbers were listed.

In 2003, the KOP checklist identified (http://www.first-a-holics.com/competitions/2003/updates/tmup1.pdf) a Bosch van door motor with part number 6004FA0009. If you've got that number on the side of the motor, you're in the clear. (Except that that doesn't look like a Bosch part number...maybe it's a lot code?)
