Hi our team is brand new to this competition and we have no experience programing or using the Labview software provided. Can someone please help us out in giving us a few pointers on where to begin in regards to programing the kinetic. I've already installed the SDK and kinetic server yet I don't know what to do from here.

Congratulations for starting a team!
There are quite a few tutorials around. If you need more basic help with LabVIEW, and not just the Kinect, I would recommend looking through some of them. You can find examples and help from the LabVIEW splash screen. frcmastery.com (http://www.frcmastery.com/) also has some good videos on LabVIEW basics. They are from last year, but are still applicable.
