An operating system is copied to the Classmate from the USB Stick labelled E09, if done properly.

Can you explain what you have done?

Try rebooting with the flash drive again, and running the Win 7 installation. we had a similar problem, and this cleared up.

Try rebooting with the flash drive again, and running the Win 7 installation. we had a similar problem, and this cleared up.

Unfortunately after an initial try in Jan14 on one of our older E09EI6 models, using the E09_DRV image download from the 2014 (corrected 030114") Intel image download site, I never even saw a Win7 installation. I don't seem to be able to boot from the NTFS USB drive created using the supplied "RMPrepUSB". Every try I get the same "BOOTMGR is missing" then CR-LF and "Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart" on next line. If I try to boot to the hard drive I get a full screen with information about doing a Windows restore. The 'RMPrepUSB' creates a folder on USB 'E09_DRV_2014_030114'. This folder has a number of files and subfolders. One of the top level files is 'bootmgr'.

Seems like a bootable USB and full image should eliminate the need for restore, however I haven't had any luck producing a USB that the E09 will boot from. I've tried several different settings in 'RMPrepUSB', still no luck.

Anyone had better luck with this? I'm going to try the CTL liason, they've been pretty responsive via chat.
