So i think we set up our can properly yesterday is their any way to find out if it works without a computer and program because we are waiting for our programming mentor to come.

You need a computer running BDC-COMM to tell if the CAN network is set up correctly. In fact, you really need a computer running BDC-COMM to set up the network correctly in the first place.

BDC-COMM (http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/spmc015b) is a program you can run on a computer to set up and test your CAN Network. With it you can:
-Check network communications. It will give you a pull down list of all Jags on your network.
-Set CAN IDs. Each Jag needs a unique CAN ID.
-Test run a Jaguar. There's a diagnostic screen that gives you a readout of various values the Jag is seeing, and lets you manually give an output command to the Jaguar.
So you need that to give each Jag a CAN ID, and it's really useful to check out your network setup to make sure you can see all the Jaguars. Here's the BDC-COMM user guide (http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/spmu065d).
