How do I put a link to my team's website in my signature? I've tried just typing it in, and I get an error code "BB code url is not allowed." I presume this is because, under Signature Permissions on my User Control Panel, it says "Allow Link BBCode No". What do I need to do to change the No to a Yes?

Thanks!

To reduce the amount of spam, links in signatures are disabled for new users. You should be well on your way to those restrictions being removed automatically.

That's reasonable. What's the definition of "new user"? Time? Number of posts?

I think it's a combination of the two, but I'm not sure. I want to say 50 posts, but I'd have to ask one of the moderators.

Not that I want to make a big deal of this, but I'm jealous that I can't make the cool signatures that I've seen others do. So, I'm up to 69 posts (this is my 70th), and I've been given some reputation points by a few people, yet I still am not allowed to put a url in my sig. The frustrating part is that I don't know what it takes to change that. Do I need to contact someone and ask permission? Do I just need to wait longer (for more time, or number of posts)? Am I doing something wrong, meaning I actually could include a url if I did it right?

Sorry if this sounds like whining. I just like to know how to do things and what the rules are.

As an aside, it was nice when I found that 3 people had given me reputation points. So I tried giving someone else some reputation, and found that my "reputation power" was "0 points" - how demoralizing. Now it's up to 5; I guess I'm on my way!

Woohoo! I can put URL's in my signature now. I don't know what the gating criterion was. I now have a little over 100 posts (this is #106), and I've been signed up for a bit less than 3 months.

It would be nice to know what the criteria are, so people could know what to do or how long to wait.
