We have one that looks about the same and it doesn't weigh that much. (Ours is metal)

It's not really the weight, it's the lack of handholds. I got so annoyed with lugging mine around I bolted a backpack to the back of it.

It just doesn't seem as if it'd be easy to carry. Its long and it has no handles (from what i can see)
Although i do admire the circuit-style font you used :)

It's really light and it's only 42 inches and not that hard to carry around!
