I tried programming the spike relay to turn an am-0914 motor today and it doesn't work. The motor doesn't turn.

I'm programming it so that when the trigger on the joystick is held down, the motor spins.

The relay is connected to Relay1 on the Digital Sidecar. The light on the relay is orange. When the trigger is held down, the light on the relay is still orange, though in labview front panel, I can see the SetRelay front panel RelayValue is set to forward. The front panel looks like this when the trigger is held down:

12001

12002

Am I programming something wrong?

There is one more picture with the relay but the guy who's supposed to send them hasn't.

Update
I Just saw the photos and noticed that thing thing is connected backwards. That's because we tried connecting that wire to every relay port in every direction. I also just noticed the light next to the relay. That's kind of comforting. Maybe the Spike is broken?

Team 358 has an excellent example of programming a spike in Labview. See http://team358.org/files/programming/ControlSystem2009-/LabVIEW/ I've attached the relevant section. (It's faster to copy theirs than write my own example.)

I'm pretty sure thats how I programmed our relay. I used a case instead of a select and it has forward when true and off when false. I'm beginning to think its a spike problem rather than a programming problem. I'll look into it tomorrow. If anyone sees anything wrong let me know.

I will try copying that code tomorrow though I doubt it would make a difference.

I was going to point out both the lit green LED and the apparently backwards connector, but it looks like I don't have to.
