Wood-bot done to test the mechanics, sensing and electronics:
What happened to the bump? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgrlsfXICsA)
Now to make it look pretty!

^ That

Also, that's a pretty sick design! :ahh:

A great implementation of what 111 did in 2004 with their bot. I really like how quick the bot traverses. Many teams may have contemplated and assessed this decision in their design process and you guys seemed to have nailed it. Awesome job.

Since some folks were asking if we had a metal version:

Looks awesome guys! It reminds me of what we did in 1999 with the puck in the middle of the floor. Good luck this season! :)

What Bump?

Q. Our robot's game ball manipulator moves upwards by contacting a curved surface with the bump. The rules say that metal parts on a robot cannot drag on the carpet, but is it o.k. if ours contacts the bump? FRC2081 2012-01-27

A. There are no "bumps" on the field.

if you had read the Q&A you would have none there is no bump so your design is pointless...

pretty cool.

I could really tell did the wheels shift up as you guys went toward the bump?

Epic FRC troll :yikes:

Nice innovative way to deal with the issue!

That ball delivery system looks familiar to ours! I can't tell if you guys used a dog bowl though... It looks like you may have made the "bowl". :-)

Nice looking machine, but that seems like a lot of work just to go over the "bump" smoothly.

I'm curious as to why you chose this method?

Do you plan on sitting on top of the "bump" to shoot or perhaps to obstruct passage over it?

That is quite a cool robot!

Very similar mechanism to what 1114 had in 2004.
No plans of going on the bridge?

Really nice work 236. Good luck.
